 Remark
The meat is soft, juicy and white with a pink tinge. Culinary preparations of this fish are of high grade. The meat of the silver pomfret does not fragment and there is no visible separation along the myosepta in raw form or after heat processing. The soup is lemon colored, very tasty, resembling chicken broth in taste. The silver pomfret is an excellent table fish and culinary products can be made from this fish.
